Armstrong and White Exchange Vows

by Derrick Shannon

MILL CITY, Ore. — Craig Armstrong, Promoter and General Manager of Portland (Ore.) Speedway exchanged vows with Leslie Ann White of Mill City, Oregon Saturday night, October 14.  More than 150 family members and friends attended the ceremony, including NASCAR Legend Hershel McGriff with his wife Sherry, and retired NASCAR Vice President Ken Clapp accompanied by his wife Dee.

The ceremony was held at the First Presbyterian Church of Mill City, a quaint little turn-of-the-century church surrounded by a white picket fence.  Robert Freres, Miss White's long time employer, gave away the bride on behalf of her parents, Harry and Marion White. Marion White is battling cancer and was unable to attend. Pastor Bruce Sexton reminded the couple of their duty of service to others, forgiveness, and love.

The couple took their honeymoon in Maui before returning to Portland on October 20.
